Somato-Emotional Bodywork Practitioner in Savoie

A different perspective on what hurts

I offer somato-emotional bodywork in Savoie, with practices in Chambéry and Domessin. You may come with persistent pain, restricted movement, a body that remains tense or during an emotionally difficult time.

I support you through precise, whole-body, hands-on work without joint cracking.

The body gives us clues. My role is to listen to them carefully and help it regain greater mobility, ease and vitality.

WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE

You may recognise yourself here

“My back, shoulder or another area hurts, and it is starting to limit some of my movements.”

Recent or persistent pain, stiffness, joint discomfort, reduced mobility or compensatory patterns.

“The tension keeps coming back, and I feel as though my body can no longer fully relax.”

A body under tension, restricted breathing, a knotted stomach, fatigue or a constantly overstimulated nervous system.

“I am going through a difficult time, and I can feel that my body is carrying some of it too.”

Stress, emotional overload, heightened sensitivity or experiences that continue to manifest physically.

You do not need to know the exact cause of the problem or choose a technique yourself. We begin with what you are feeling today.

HOW I WORK

I don’t only work where it hurts

My name is Simon Girol, and I practise as a rebouteux — a traditional bodywork practitioner — in Chambéry and Domessin.

I specialise in physical pain and in the way emotional overload can affect the body. By listening closely to the body, I look for tensions and compensatory patterns that may be maintaining discomfort, with the aim of helping it regain greater mobility, ease and balance.

Your pain remains our starting point. But the whole body can help us understand where to begin.

I observe the way you stand and bear weight, your mobility, your breathing and the areas that are compensating. My touch alternates precise pressure with gentler mobilisations drawn from Wuo Taï.

When what you are going through is also weighing on your body, we can make space for that too — without forcing you to talk.

DURING THE SESSION

Precise touch. Nothing forced.

I do not crack joints. The work may be firm and precise on certain areas of tension, then much gentler during the mobilisations. It is always adjusted to what your body is ready for.

You can talk, ask questions or simply remain silent. There is nothing you need to achieve and no story you have to tell.

AFTER THE SESSION

What people often notice after a session

Sometimes, those closest to you notice the change first: a different posture, more fluid movement or greater ease in the way you move.

In everyday life, a movement or activity that had become difficult may also feel accessible again. Changes can continue to unfold over the following hours or days, and everyone responds in their own way.

Precision

Tensions and compensatory patterns identified quickly, sometimes away from the painful area.

Contrast

Firm pressure at times, alternated with very gentle, carefully adjusted mobilisations.

Changes You May Feel

Freer movement, greater range of motion, easier breathing or less pain.

Everyone responds in their own way. These observations reflect patterns that are regularly noticed and are not a promise of results.

What if we simply started with what you are feeling today?

A specific pain, reduced mobility, persistent tension, emotional strain or discomfort that is difficult to name already provides a starting point.
