APPROACH
An embodied approach to the body, emotions, and presence
The body does not function in isolated compartments.
Our difficulties are never limited to physical pain, an emotion, or mental overactivity alone. An imbalance never exists on only one level.
My approach is grounded in this reality:
the body, emotions, and states of presence are intimately connected.
My work is rooted in the tradition of the rebouteux — an ancestral manual practice deeply anchored in the Savoie region — enriched by a contemporary understanding of the body, the fascia, and the relationships between body and emotions.
It aims to support the body’s natural capacities for regulation, integration, and transformation, without forcing, and with full respect for each person’s rhythm and personal history.
The Body as the Point of Entry
Muscular tension, recurring pain, persistent fatigue, or joint restrictions are often signals from the body indicating that a deeper balance has been disturbed.
They reflect not only physical strain, but also adaptive patterns, automatisms, and unconscious responses shaped over the course of life experiences.
Body, Emotion, and Behavior
Emotions, lived experiences, stress, and our protective strategies are held within the body’s tissues. Over time, through holding, reacting, or compensating, tensions become fixed, patterns crystallize, and the way we stand, breathe, and act in the world becomes shaped by deeply rooted mechanisms.
This is not only a matter of pain: it is an organization of experience that formed in response to what was lived, but that can eventually restrict movement and vital momentum.
Somatic and Somato-Emotional Work
Somatic and somato-emotional work aims to restore movement where something has become fixed, to soothe the nervous system, and to allow these adaptive mechanisms to be gradually perceived, understood by the body, and transformed.
As the body releases and reorganizes, clarity can emerge — in sensation, in presence to oneself, in the way one breathes, and in the ability to take actions that are more considered, aligned, and appropriate, rather than reacting automatically from old patterns.
The Fascia and the Body’s Memory
An essential part of this approach is based on working with the fascia — the connective tissues that envelop the muscles and organs and link the entire body together. The fascia play a central role in posture, perception, nervous system regulation, and bodily memory.
By restoring mobility to these tissues, it becomes possible to release long-held tensions, loosen fixed patterns, and support a more global and lasting reorganization of the body.
A Practice Rooted in Rebouteux Tradition and Listening
Far from standardized interventions, the work is grounded in:
rebouteux work, adapted and respectful of the body,
conscious and sensitive touch,
fine, targeted mobilizations,
fasciatherapy and its principles of tissue listening,
practices drawn from Wuo Taï and movements that restore organic circulation.
These tools are never applied mechanically. They are always in service of listening to the body — never the other way around.
The Somato-Emotional Dimension
Unexpressed or unintegrated emotions do not disappear. They are held in the body and influence breathing, posture, muscular tone, and sometimes pain or automatic reactions.
Somato-emotional listening makes it possible to:
welcome what emerges without excessive mental analysis,
allow the body to complete what has remained unfinished,
support a respectful and gradual process of integration.
This work is not about “reliving” the past, but about integrating it in the body, so that what unfolds during a session becomes tangible and embodied in everyday life.
Presence Over Technique
My approach is not based on a fixed method or a series of protocols.
Each session is different, because each body is different.
What guides the work is not a technique to be applied, but what is present in the moment:
what is ready to be released, what can be integrated, and how the body is expressing itself here and now.
The tools — rebouteux work, conscious touch, movement-based work, practices drawn from Wuo Taï, and an energetic approach — are always in service of listening, never the other way around. They are used with care and precision, according to what the body is ready to experience in the present moment.
The framework is an integral part of the work. It is grounded in safety, listening, and respect: clarity of intention, a pace that honors the body, attentive presence, and clear ethical boundaries.
This framework allows for deep release, exploration without force, and lasting transformation — without rough manipulation or imposed goals.
This way of working resonates particularly with sensitive or hypersensitive individuals, while remaining fully suitable for anyone seeking a deep, respectful, and embodied form of bodywork.
An Orientation Toward Integration
Beyond immediate relief, the intention here is embodied integration:
that what is experienced during a session finds expression in the way you are, stand, breathe, respond, and move through life.
My approach is a path of reconciliation with the body — in its physical, emotional, and sensitive dimensions — to restore grounding, clarity, and coherence.
